The Taste of Shetland room sat alongside rooms full of Shetland’s best arts and crafts businesses, from knitwear to art, with many hundreds of visitors coming through the door. We had a great day. Our highlights included Thule Ventus giving tasters of their salt cod for the first time - so delicious whipped up with garlic, cream and tatties. Mirrie Dancers were proudly displaying their Fair Isle chocolate, a bar illustrated with a colourful and detailed Fair Isle pattern. Many people asked how they did it, but it remains a secret! And The V Bird were tempting visitors with their wide range of delicious vegan mayos and dips. What great feedback we all had. We’re already talking about our presence there next year!
Another First for Us
The Makers’ Market is the culmination of Shetland’s very successful Wool Week, now in its eighth year. We were delighted to have a presence at this year’s event, an extremely busy celebration of everything artisan.
