Loganair becomes our first Gold sponsor 24 November 2017
Scotland’s airline Loganair has become the first Gold Sponsor of Shetland Food and Drink, supporting the organisation for the first time
Kay Ryan, Commercial Director, Loganair says: “Shetland Food and Drink is making a real impact in the promotion of Shetland’s local produce. The Taste of Shetland Festival is now a landmark on Scotland’s ‘foodie’ calendar and the SFAD team also have some really exciting projects in development. There are lots of opportunities to work with SFAD to inspire more people to come to the Isles to enjoy local food and drink. This sponsorship demonstrates our commitment to Shetland, its people and its businesses, and we look forward to working with SFAD to grow and develop Shetland’s exciting and thriving food and drink sector.”
The deal sees Loganair provide SFAD with a range of support over and above traditional sponsorship, including wide-ranging marketing and advertising initiatives.
Marian Armitage, Chair of Shetland Food and Drink, says: "We have recently developed a close working relationship with Loganair, through the Taste of Shetland Cooking Challenge, for which Loganair have contributed part of the prize. This grows and strengthens our partnership, which is very exciting. We are particularly thrilled to be working with Loganair on marketing and advertising, through which we have the potential to reach a much wider audience than we could have done on our own. Having worked with Loganair for some time, we can see their commitment to Shetland. We feel that this sponsorship has the opportunity to bring Shetland Food and Drink - and importantly our members - lots of exposure.”
Loganair joins a group of commercial sponsors of SFAD: Cooke Aquaculture, NorthLink Ferries, Grieg Seafood, Scottish Seafarms, JW Gray Limited, Harper Macleod LLP, and Seafood Shetland (incorporating Shetland Shellfish Management Organisation, Shetland Fish Producers’ Organisation and Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation Shetland) who are all Silver sponsors; and Bronze sponsors Shetland FM and RSM.
