Where we deliver to
All items from the gifts area of our shop (ie books, merchandise and cards, etc.) can be sent to all addresses, worldwide.
All food items can be sent to addresses throughout the UK. If you are outside the UK and would like to purchase food items, please be aware that your country may enforce restrictions on goods which can be legally imported (meat, fish and dairy products are commonly subject to these restrictions for understandable reasons).
Purchases made overseas may also be subject to customs tax on arrival. You should check with your national postal service what taxes apply and how to pay these. The client (you) are responsible for any customs or import taxes incurred on arrival.
Postage and packaging
Food items: these are dispatched directly from producers across Shetland. The prices quoted are exclusive of postage and packing on our online shop. Additional postage is calculated at checkout and is weighted to allow for orders involving multiple stockists to be sent out in separate packages.
Gifts and books: These are despatched by us (Shetland Food and Drink Limited), and sent separately to food.
Shipping for all items is calculated depending on gross product weight and calculated on the basis of current first class Royal Mail rates. Our shipping rates also include a small charge to cover packaging and handling.
Shipping rates are calculated in line with the Royal Mail's world postal zones and will be sent out under the following destination rate bands:
- UK Delivery (First class)
- Europe (Air mail)
- Zone 1 (Air mail)
- Zone 2 (Air mail)

We will process and send your order within 24-48 hours after you purchase it (orders placed on a Friday will not be dispatched until the following Monday). During busy seasonal periods we may take longer to process your order, but we still hope you will receive it within 7-14 days of purchase.
