Peerie Bites looks for budding cooks under 18 who want to find out more about Shetland produce. In the 2019 competition, our winners won the opportunity to visit Gary Macleans cook school in Glasgow with 2 nights stay in a hotel.
All our entrants had to do was create a savoury dish whose ingredients included one or more items of Shetland produce. This year’s competion is very similar, submit a main course recipe to [email protected] and our judges will select 4 finalists from each category. If selected as a finalist, you must be able to make your dish in 30 mins or less. Your savoury dish's main ingredient must be sourced from Shetland and include at least one vegetable.
You can have help from an adult if required.
There are two categories to the competition: Junior, ie those of primary school age in August 2022; and Senior, those of secondary school age in August 2022.
There are great prizes to be won including overnight accommodation, vouchers and hampers.
