Bacon Jam
Ingredients
- 500g Bacon (finely chopped)
- 2 Red Onions (chopped)
- 4 Cloves Garlic (crushed)
- Quarter Cup Maple Syrup
- Half Cup Cider Vinegar
- Half Cup Soft Brown Sugar
- 3 Quarter Cup Coffee
Method
- Fry bacon until caramelised, remove from pan.
- In same pan, fry onion until brown, then add bacon back into pan.
- Add other ingredients, bring to boil, then simmer for 2 hours.
- Puree to desired consistency.
- Serve with cheese, on a burger or with pork pies for an indulgent treat!
