Bacon Jam

Ingredients

  • 500g Bacon (finely chopped)
  • 2 Red Onions (chopped)
  • 4 Cloves Garlic (crushed)
  • Quarter Cup Maple Syrup
  • Half Cup Cider Vinegar
  • Half Cup Soft Brown Sugar
  • 3 Quarter Cup Coffee

Method

  1. Fry bacon until caramelised, remove from pan.
  2. In same pan, fry onion until brown, then add bacon back into pan.
  3. Add other ingredients, bring to boil, then simmer for 2 hours.
  4. Puree to desired consistency.
  5. Serve with cheese, on a burger or with pork pies for an indulgent treat!
