Shetland College UHI is the most northern partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI). We offer a wide selection of courses, from access level right up to post-graduate degrees.

Shetland College UHI works closely with Shetland Food and Drink, having being involved in both the Taste of Shetland Cooking Challenge and the Taste of Shetland Festival. We are passionate about local produce and the development of skills in food and drink. We deliver a wide range of Further Education and Higher Education courses to the people of Shetland, taught via our main campus in Lerwick and through a network of Learning Centres across the islands. Subject areas include: Business, Management, Professional Cookery, Hospitality, Skills for Work, Events, Education, Heritage, Contemporary Textiles, Social Sciences, Early Education and Childcare, Social Care, Computing, Carpentry and Joinery, Accounting, Art and Design, Film and Music.

As an academic partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands, a number of courses are available through video conference links and open learning. Shetland College UHI offers flexibility in delivery which makes it easier than ever before to balance a college course with other commitments.
