Blyde Welcome is unique to Shetland. It is the area’s foremost hospitality training provider offering the mandatory Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders /Refresher training; the two hour licensing training; REHIS food hygiene certification, as well as WorldHost Customer Service workshops.
In September 2022 Celia partnered with Euan at The Orkney Roastery and Erica from eteaket in Edinburgh to produce a range of Shetland inspired coffees - whole bean and four different grinds - and ethically sourced leaf tea and teabags from all over the world. Celia has now added barista training to the services on offer, so that she can provide the complete package from supplying your hand-built, Italian espresso or bean-to-cup coffee machines, to brewing equipment, and on-going machine maintenance. To support all of this, Celia and her team delivers refresher training for staff as well as latte art and ‘tearista’ workshops.

Celia began her career in hospitality at a very young age, whilst still at school she got a part-time waitressing job with Jim and Irene Williamson at 'Kveldsro'. Summer holidays during university were spent back in the hotel honing her skills. She later completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Catering and Accommodation Management. The next ten years were spent working in luxury, boutique hotels throughout the UK. She is passionate about providing great customer experiences and the importance of quality training in the sector.
She is fully qualified, and the most experienced trainer of her kind in Shetland.
