Frankie's has become iconic throughout the isles, with many locals organising family days out around their plans for a meal there! Equally popular with tourists from all over the world, Frankie's is a great place to try some of Shetland's fabulous seafood. The all-day menu includes the freshest MSC haddock, mussels, king scallops and brown crab, all locally caught.
There are daily seafood specials, homemade tartar sauce, soups, homemade desserts and cakes available too. You will find Gluten Free options, a Senior Citizens' menu and, of course, a wide range of menu options children will love. You can order to take away or book to sit in. There is even outdoor seating where you can enjoy sea views over Busta Voe on long summer days.
Frankie's Fish & Chips is a purpose-built premises in the rural community of Brae in Shetland. It is the only fish and chip shop outside of the main town, Lerwick. The restaurant has full disabled access and is situated on the lower side of the main road through Brae. It's walking distance from all the main amenities in the village: the leisure centre and sports fields, the boating club and caravan park are all just a short stroll away.
Shetland is strategically located at the heart of Europe's richest fishing grounds and has a vibrant fishing community. The isles are one of Britain's main centres for landing, selling and processing seafood, giving Frankie's direct access to a daily fish market where they have their pick of premium quality sustainable local seafood.
Drop by and let Frankie's friendly staff welcome you for a seafood feast and some of the best chips you'll find anywhere - they were voted the UK's Best Fish and Chip Shop in 2015.
