The family are one of Shetland’s leading producers of fresh, local, free-range eggs. You will find Gifford’s Bressay eggs in shops all over Shetland. They also supply large quantities of eggs to other businesses within Shetland, from restaurants and cafés to some of the bakers. Try a fresh Bressay egg for your breakfast, poached on toast perhaps, and you’ll wonder why you ever bought eggs elsewhere!

As well as eggs, which they produce all year round, they also sell home-grown tatties, neeps and a selection of other vegetables, which are all available locally too. They now have a Polycrub as well. Being able to grow under cover lengthens the Shetland growing season considerably, and broadens the range of plants you can grow. The vegetables and herbs they grow in the Polycrub are also available from a selection of local shops.

L&S Gifford’s premium quality beef, lamb and pork are available on the local market. You’ll find their beef on the menus of some of the best restaurants in Shetland.
