Shetland College UHI provides professional training and academic learning opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds. As an academic partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands, a many courses are available through video conference links and open learning. Shetland College UHI offers flexibility in delivery which makes it easier than ever before to balance a college course with other commitments.
The College also works closely with Shetland Food and Drink, they were involved in both the Taste of Shetland Cooking Challenge and the Taste of Shetland Festival. They are passionate about local produce and the development of skills in food and drink.
They deliver a wide range of Further Education and Higher Education courses to the people of Shetland, taught via the main campus in Lerwick and through a network of Learning Centres across the islands. Subject areas include: Business, Management, Professional Cookery, Hospitality, Skills for Work, Events, Education, Heritage, Contemporary Textiles, Social Sciences, Early Education and Childcare, Social Care, Computing, Carpentry and Joinery, Accounting, Art and Design, Film and Music.
