Our blend of Scots/Nørse culture has inspired a distinctive dram, flavours and notes imbued with a seafaring heritage. The natural rock springs are the source of a water that's extraordinarily crisp, cool and pure. And of course there are secrets and a little magic to our dram of pure Shetland gold in a glass.
We’re on a journey to build Shetland’s first whisky distillery. With planning permission granted, and sites for our bonded warehouse and water springs secured, our plans are well on their way to being brought to life.
From our iconic copper stills, mash tuns and fermenters to our peerie shop, our visitors will discover a rich and authentic artisan experience, complete with tasting room, samples and exclusive mementos. Lerwick Distillery promises to be an unmissable and memorable destination.
