The Auld Manse was thought to have originally been a merchant’s house and then a manse for the local minister. In the early 1900 a new manse was built, the original house then became a private dwelling.
Sister duo Julie Williamson and Andrea Huntley bought the building in 2021 with the idea that it could be turned into a beautiful café and accommodation. The family hope to open the business by the end of the summer, they plan to offer as much local produce as possible in the cafe and also support local crafter with a display area as well as functions rooms to hire and accommodation.
