The Peerie Shop Café prides itself on serving a really good coffee, freshly roasted in Scotland and brought to Shetland every month. They serve fresh local food in a friendly bustling atmosphere. All baking and cooking is done in-house using local ingredients from all over the isles.
They open for breakfast, with homemade muesli, freshly scrambled Shetland eggs, toasted local breads, and scones straight from the oven. Lunch options vary everyday, depending on what’s in season and market fresh. They make delicious soups, doorstep sandwiches made fresh to order, Shetland smoked salmon specials, and tempting cakes, scones and muffins are baked in house every morning. Sit outside on a fine day, enjoy a slice of their delicious cheesecake, and watch Lerwick life in action.
Free wifi is available to customers but if you’re looking for a break from technology, the café also serves as an art gallery. Local and national exhibitions provide a constantly changing focal point and the displayed work is available to purchase.
