Sassermaet Wreath
Ingredients
- 500g Beef Sassermaet
- 1 Onion (very finely chopped)
- 2 Slices of Bread (made into crumbs)
- 5 tsp Mincemeat
- 1 Sheet Puff Pastry
- 1 Beaten Egg
Method
- Combine sassermaet, onion, breadcrumbs and mincemeat.
- Use puff pastry to make a large sausage roll with sassermaet mixture filling (use some beaten egg to seal edge).
- Make cuts about 1 inch apart along length of sausage roll - cuts should be about two thirds of way through.
- Make into circle and join ends.
- Twist each cut section to make it look pretty (see video!!)
- Brush with beaten egg and bake for 35-40 minutes at 200°C.
