Lerwick Brewery pushes the boundaries of craft beer. The unique blend of mild winters, cool summers, clear water and endless fresh air in Shetland allows them to develop stand-out beers in their 12 barrel brewery.
Lerwick Brewery breaks the stereotype of island living and pushes the boundaries of craft beer. Located on the outskirts of Lerwick, they've created an outstanding brew family, which includes 60° North, Skipper’s Ticket, Tushkar, Lerwick IPA, Azure and Blindside.
Founded in 2013 by three brothers: John, Jimmy and Graham Mercer, Lerwick is the most northerly and remote brewery in the UK. Developed on a love of beer and the want for a connection to their childhood home whilst being based around Scotland, Lerwick Brewery is an ode to the Shetland Isles. Making dedicated use of locally-sourced produce and climate, as well as imported goods, our brewers give an essence of the isle whilst also creating a contemporary product.
Lerwick make and deliver a variety of craft beers in different formats to customers throughout Scotland and the UK with stockists varying from independents to chains such as Wetherspoons. Caledonian Heritable, Stonegate and Signature.
