Mincemeat Crumble Slice

Ingredients

  • 200g Shetland Butter (softened and cubed)
  • 200g Plain Flour
  • 200g Oats
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 75g Soft Brown Sugar
  • 400g Mincemeat
  • Handful Chopped Walnuts (optional)

Method

  1. Line a square tin and preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Combine flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Rub in butter (or use food processor!)
  4. Put half of mixture into tin and press down very firmly.
  5. Add mincemeat as a layer.
  6. Mix walnuts with remaining flour and oats mixture if using - add to top of baking tin - press gently.
  7. Bake for 35-40 mins at 180C or until golden.
