Shetland Biltong Chilli Con Carne
Ingredients
- 500g Steak Mince
- 1 Large Onion (finely chopped)
- 600ml Beef Stock
- 3 tsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 tin Kidney Beans
- Half Punnet Cherry Tomatoes
- 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 4 tsp Biltong Dust (plus a sprinkle more on top!)
- Lime Juice to season
Method
- Brown mince in a frying pan. At the same time fry your onion in a little oil. Once soft add a little of the stock and all of the sugar. Continue to cook until well browned.
- Add mince to onion pan.
- Add cumin, kidney beans, cherry tomatoes, tomato puree and Biltong Dust.
- Stir well and simmer for 30 mins.
- Taste and add more Biltong Dust to taste.
- Serve with rice, tacos, cheese - or whatever you fancy! Season on plate with lime juice and a sprinkle of extra Biltong Dust!
